BUSY has been providing a range of services for Employers, Apprentices and Trainees for 30 years. BUSY Inc (parent company of BUSY AT WORK Apprenticeship Services) celebrated its 30th birthday in November 2007. Their primary purpose being, to help industry engage Trainees and Apprentices in jobs, to ensure the State has the next generation of skilled workers.
The regions of operation for BUSY have grown reflecting the growing nature of our State VET Industry. With growth in the business, BUSY have continually strived to improve and refine the services offered, to continually meet the growing demand for Traineeships and Apprenticeships from a number of stakeholders and employer groups.
They now operate throughout the Regions of Brisbane, Western Queensland and Central Queensland. BUSY currently provides client services to: Australian Training Company, AFL Sportsready Ltd, Electro Group Apprentices, Capricornia Training Company Ltd, Downs Group Training, GAGAL, Golden West Employment Solutions, Torgas Inc, and ON-Q Human Resources Ltd.

ESQ ensures that skill needs are identified at local, regional and state levels, and ascertains training priorities, suitable training products and ideal training delivery methods.

Energy Skills Queensland, through its established industry sector skills steering committees and regional skills steering committees, constantly engages with the energy industry to provide skills and workforce development information and feedback from industry regarding their skilling needs. ESQ also provides advice back to governments regarding issues such as emerging skill shortages and training priorities.
Energy Skills Queensland's workforce planning research is fundamental to the energy industry's sustained business success and growth. The key to the effectiveness of workforce planning is better decision making in how the workforce is identified, targeted and managed. Ultimately, choices made now will impact on future productivity and financial performance.
This workforce planning process identifies the current and future demand for skills and compares this with the changing supply of skills to identify emerging gaps and shortages. This process is used to inform appropriate workforce development initiatives and strategies.
Energy Skills Queensland can assist employers and businesses with workforce development strategies to identify the skillls that they will need by making recommendations for gap training, recognition of prior learning and other skill development activities.

This document identifies and priorities the key workforce issues and outlines the key workforce development strategies needed to manage these identified workforce issues. Apprenticeship Solutions is part of Mission Australia's Employment Services Division which successfully tendered in 2006 to operate government registered Australian Apprenticeships Centres (AACs). Apprenticehship Solutions is one of Australia's two largest AACs, providing a national service for employers and apprentice/trainees from 34 locations. Our emphasis is on making the process easy.
Expert consultants advise employers on up skilling and retaining new and existing staff with traineeships and apprenticeships.
Our apprenticeship centres assist all types of employers including Group Training with all paperwork and government incentives claims, ensuring employers receive all the financial incentives they are eligible for. Mission Australia is a large not-for-profit organisation employing over 3,300 staff providing 450+ employment and community services nationwide.

Mission Apprenticeship Solutions also play an active role in supporting the overall Group Training Industry. Organisational support is also extended to industry projects such as the school based best practice project in providing feedback on the content of the best practice pathway and the possible application to industry sectors. Industry relationships are also an important part of business, whereby to Mission Apprenticeship Solutions commits to regular meets with the State Association to discuss ways forward in industry issues/barriers and to assist in providing Group Training with practical solutions to work with regarding barriers.
Research Partners with GTAQNT
In 2007 Mission Apprenticeship Centres committed to partnering with GTAQNT in the Apprentice and Trainee survey project. Mission Apprenticeship Solutions are striving towards securing feedback from a large number of the privately employed Apprentices and Trainees. The partnership is valued by Mission Apprenticeship Centres as it is viewed by management as an important step in finding out more about client satisfaction with the VET system in general and helping to create better industry opportunity for future Trainees and Apprentices.

Manufacturing Skills Queensland (MSQ), is the Skills Division within QMI Solutions and is an initiative of the Queensland Government's Department of Education and Training(DET). As part of the Queensland Skills Plan, DET established a number of Centres for Excellence for Queensland industry. MSQ is the Centre of Excellence for skills development in the manufacturing and engineering industry.
